Ananas Anam’s 2020 Impact Report

Ananas Anam, the company behind Piñatex, was certified as a B-Corp in April 2020, at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and the first lockdown in the UK. The certification arrived on point to help us, as a team, to overcome the challenges we were facing, and to unite around the very values we are living and working for every day.

At Ananas Anam we aim to meet the challenges of our times by developing innovative products in which commercial success is integrated with, and promotes, environmental, social and cultural development. In everything we do, we consider the impact of our decisions on our workers, customers, suppliers, community and the environment.

This is guiding us in building a transparent and traceable circular value creation model based on long-term, mutually beneficial collaborations with pineapple growers, manufacturers and brand partners in the fashion, upholstery and automotive sectors.

Piñatex has been used by fashion brands in over 80 countries, as we encourage them to get on the path of sustainability. Piñatex is a strong purposeful brand built on knowledge sharing, nurturing trust, offering relevant solutions and reflecting the multi-cultural eco-system in which we work.

B-Corp values have been part of Ananas Anam’s DNA since the launch of Piñatex in 2016. In this Impact Report, we share our achievements of our first year as a B-Corp certified company. Please join us on our journey and our commitment to become better at what we do, day after day.
